Animal Life of Costa Rica

Herein we will explore the members of the kingdom Animalia which inhabit the land known as Costa Rica. I'm such a science genius, right?  Riiiiiggghhht.

Actually, the five kingdoms are just about the only thing I remember from high school biology.  That and "King Phillip cried out 'for goodness sakes!'"  I am definitely going to have to find someone else to teach Prentice science.  Because if I were in charge, King Phillip would probably end up having a Broadway-style song and dance routine, and biology would be defined as the costuming art of making people look like animals.  But I digress.

Here are pictures of some of the creatures we saw while traipsing about the rain forests in Costa Rica.  It was crazy.  Monkeys chattered.  Birds screeched.  Jaguars ate us.

Not really.  I just wanted to see if you were paying attention.

IMG_5238 This is the sloth. We named him Sid. Because we are so original like that.

The animals were really one of the best parts of the trip. There were also myriads of butterflies and birds, none of which were obliging enough to be still for a photoshoot of course. But as Micah told me, they're in my head. And that's the most important thing.

Pura vida, baby!
